You have been assigned to a special teams unit of 4.  You will each become a cyberbully expert.
  Please review your assignment below.
Task #1: Research
First you will need to assign roles to each member.

Researchers (2)- You will go on a cyberhunt to locate information.  You should be Internet savvy and excellent readers.
Writers (2)- You will be responsible for creating a report for Lt. Dan.  The report should summarize what the researchers have discovered using our summarizer pneumonic device.  You should have strong writing skills and legible handwriting.

Task #2: Case Study
First you will need to review the case that we are unable to solve.

Now that you know the main suspects, each of you will research a specific one and discover if they were the one who emailed Megan, based on their behavior.

First you will need to assign suspects to each member.

Now meet back together as a team, discuss you findings and fill out a warrant to arrest the correct person/people.

Task #3: Poster
We will need a poster to hang in the precinct to help teach about cyber bullies.

Your poster may include but is not limited to:
  • a slogan
  • facts about cyberbullies
  • clever pictures showing different types of cyberbullies
  • tips to teach how to recognize cyberbullies
  • tips to tell what to do when contacted by a cyberbully.
BE CREATIVE!

Steps to creating the poster...
  1. Plan with your team what will be included on the poster.  You may want to create a small rough draft.
  2. Get a piece of poster paper from the writing center.
  3. Use any materials from the writing center to create your poster.
  4. Put your names as a copyright on the bottom.
  5. Turn your poster in for a grade.
Task #4: Shrink the Cyberbully

McGruff, our neighborhood watchdog, discovered that another cyber bully is on the loose.  Help him catch the bully by answering questions correctly based on what you have learned.
