First Institute Certificates Awarded
At a conference held at the Samuel Banks Professional Center
in Towson, Maryland in 1998, 4 teachers recieved Certificates for
completing 6 courses in the University Technology Institute.
The teachers were Joan Johnson, Andrew Clemens, Margaret
Carey, and Sarah Lee Bernstein. Pictured with the four
teachers is then Associate Director of Outreach at the
University, Dan Thoms.
At this time teacher outreach has more than 1000 teachers
enrolled in districts throughout the state of Maryland. The
outreach effort supports teachers in their quest to bring
quality instruction into the classroom utilizing technology.
